Hi sherly,
We have some news regarding our support policy that you might be interested in learning about.
The official Perl 5 community support for Perl 5.10 ended with the release of Perl 5.14.0. However, ActiveState has continued to support 5.8 and 5.10 for Business and Enterprise Edition customers along with the newer releases, which is in-line with community support policies.
With the release of Perl 5.14.1, ActivePerl 5.14 is the recommended version for new development projects.
If you would like assistance in moving from ActivePerl 5.8 or 5.10 to a more recent version, please contact us directly. We have Perl experts available to audit and migrate your code. You can find ActivePerl 5.12 and 5.14 in ActivePerl Community Edition.
