Revised and Enhanced Projects and Places A number of our Komodo 5 users told us that they missed the old Projects system. By popular demand, we've brought back some of those features in Projects & Places. If you're one of those people, or you've never tried Komodo IDE, try out the updated interface. Enhanced Django Support Komodo IDE 6 was released with support for more languages than ever, including HTML 5, CSS 3, Python 3. With the release of Komodo 6.1, we've added even more support for Django: Better syntax highlighting and smarter indentation for templates Automatic code completions for Django template tags and filters Syntax checking for templates Hyperlinks to easily jump to template file locations Give Komodo IDE 6.1 a try; we think you'll like what you see! Using Gunicorn on the ActivePython AMI   Last month we posted a screencast from Raymond Hettinger of Python Academy on Getting Started with the ActivePython AMI on EC2. For this follow-up post, Mike Ivanov walks us through swapping the default Apache web server for Gunicorn (aka Green Unicorn, a Python WSGI web server) which is a popular replacement for Django environments.
