ActiveGo beta released - Try coding with Go today

ActiveGo 1.8 beta now available

Hi sherly,

If you currently use dynamic languages like Perl or Python, now is a great time to try Go. You can download ActiveGo 1.8 beta today.

Companies like Atlassian, Docker and eBay have already embraced Go, and a wide range of developers use Go for web services, networking and fast systems development.

Easy to learn, Go gives you the best of both worlds – fast development with runtime speeds similar to C++ or Java that can be deployed in a single executable.

With ActiveGo, you get a commercially supported, quality-assured Go distribution, pre-bundled with essential packages so you can get started right away – no wasted time on configuration!

Read more in our release blog post and give ActiveGo a "go" today!

We can't wait to hear what you think.

Following up re: Komodo 10.2 release

Hi sherly,

I am following up on last week's announcement about the release of Komodo IDE 10.2.

Since you previously downloaded ActivePerl, I thought you might be interested in trying out Komodo IDE for Perl development. You can download Komodo IDE 10.2 here.

In case you missed it, the latest features include:

  • New unit testing with support for more frameworks (including PHPUnit, pytest, Prove, Mocha, RSPec and Go) and enhanced functionality
  • Slack sharing - Share code directly from Komodo
  • Yarn support (new package manager for Node.js)
  • Django and Flask toolboxes
  • Ruby 2.4 and Rails 5 support
  • Tutorials for Catalyst, Django, Flask, Pyramid and Rails

With the new unit testing, you can filter test results, jump to test definitions and debug easily within your tests. I encourage you to try it out! Let me know if you have any questions and I'll be happy to assist. A few more helpful links:
